Installing progs somewhere with lots of space, i.e. somewhere in /home
would solve the problems. However this demands compiling from source,
which needs a lot of holy water, casting out daemons etc.,
I much prefer using standard .pkgs but I might venture forth ....
..... and was led out into the desert .....
