Hi there,
after getting a Cache RAQ4 we experienced the problem that the
machine is not able to reboot ... tried
- init 6
- shutdown -r now
- reboot
- shutdown -y -g0 -i6
- pushing the buttons at the front
But it always hangs right before the reboot, display is telling
"REBOOT" ... serial console is telling rebooting (all services
seem to be stopped) ... but then no go
After talking over an hour with EMEA Support of Cobalt they
told us to install the Rescue CD. But if we would do this, warranty
is lost ... duh ... void the warranty of an 2 hour old machine, very
dumb.
Talked to the distributor and got a replacment ... and guess what ...
the damn blue thing cant reboot ... whats going on here?
Surely the system is rock solid and we never need to reboot ;) but
from time to time a reboot is necessary.
Any hints for me here ... would appreciate it. Thanks in advance.
