I too have a raq3 with oyur same problem but I think I found a good solution.

I set up a User account for each SSL under the MainSite.  For example, My
virtual domain sites have a login that is associated with their domain (like
virtual01)  I create a user under the SSL Domain and I call it sslvirtual01.
They can login and modify their secure pages at www.SSLDOMAIN.COM/~sslvirtual01
and they point their web page here.  I suggest that they use a frame so that the
visitor does not see the new URL as being on a different domain.  The E-mail is
forwarded to the virtual domain account from the control panel.  Their link uses
the https:// in the URL.

And yes, I charge more too!  ;-).
