Hi - thanks everyone for the advice - so if I:

perl Makefile.PL PREFIX=/path_to_my_new_perl

that should compile it into the alternative location ?

I should be ok as long as I also refer to that path in the shebang (what a
name :-) ?

(and I will backup my perl libs !)
