If you are using your machine for DNS, make sure you name the machine
properly.

For example on my server when you type in www.my-domain.com it comes up in
the address bar as ns1.my-domain.com , not really critical but one of those
'newbie mistakes'.

DNS and setting it up properly always seems to be a big issue, if you plan
on running NS1 and NS2 both on your server you can search the archives for
secondary lasman     for a few reasons not to do that and how to set it up
'properly'.

If you have any tips or tricks you come up with while you are setting up
your server please pass them along.
