NAME
adduser - adds a user on a RaQ without using the UI
SYNOPSIS
adduser [ options... ]
DESCRIPTION
adduser, adds a user to a virtual site. The script checks
user defaults for missing information, these defaults are
configured in the Cobalt user interface on site admin
page, under the "Set User Defaults" button. For example
if you configure Telnet/Shell access under this screen,
you can skip the -t option and all users created will have
shell access enabled.
OPTIONS
-d [text] The fully quilified domain name of the site the
user will be added to.
-g [text] The group name of the site user will be added
to.
-u [text] This is the name used by the Cobalt server to
identify the user. It also appears in the URL of the web
site and the email address of the user. Only lowercase
alphanumeric characters, periods (.), hyphens (-) and
underscores (_) are allowed.
-f [text] This is the full name of the user separated by a
space ie. Doug West. If this option is not provided, the
-u text is used.
-p [text] Enter a password containing 3 or more charac-
ters. A strong password is one that is difficult to
guess, not found in any dictionary, and is 8 or more char-
acters with at least one non-alphabetical character. Pass-
words are case sensitive.
-q [number] This is the disk quota of the user. It is the
total disk space allowed for web pages, email and all
other files.
-a Enables the user to be a site administrator.
-x Enable FrontPage Server Extensions for the user web.
FrontPage Server Extensions must be enabled for the site
to enable any user web.
-o Enable APOP for this user. APOP is a secure method of
authentication to a POP3 server. This option is only
available to certain mail readers like Fetchmail or
Eudora.
-e [list] Enter additional names that the user will
receive email as. For example, enter laurie.price for the
address - laurie.price@xxxxxxxxxxxxxxxx Only lowercase
alphanumeric characters, periods (.), hyphens (-) and
underscores (_) are allowed. Separate multiple entries
with a comma.
-w [text] the Email address where you would like your
email automatically forwarded.
-h Brief help text.
