I can guarantee that Sun will not let you get away with using
their software (Yes the "GUI" scripts are theirs and not freeware)
on a server other than a cobalt server that the software was purchased with.
If you want to build your own box and need gui for your customers
us Plesk. It is much more solid anyway, much faster, and they don't
use that crappy cpu eating qpopper. qmail uses virtually no cpu
compared to qpopper. I have one plesk system with 600 domains
on it, room for 600 more, lets see a raq do that.

So what happens when and if you are successful. By that I mean suppose you
do crack the secret of the "RAQ" and are successful installing the cobalt
distro on a plan Jane Intel box. What do you plan to do with it ? Are you
going to share your findings with the list and the world at large? or do you
personally plan to profit from it. (Just trying to be objective)
It seems cobalt has put in a considerable effort into the development of
their RAQ servers. If the goal is to just rip off their GUI you may be
headed down a bumpy road. I think "GUI" front end is a proprietary program
and protected under copyrights or some other protections. (Have you talked
to cobalt about this)
On another note your questions may be more suited to the cobalt developers
forum.
