Please be careful with using this. If you f.ex. forgot an option the first
time you installed PHP and redid the configure -- then the wrong set of
options from the first compile will show in the phpinfo(); screen (it's
phpinfo() and not php_info()).

AFAIK there is no need to remove the quotes at all. Just cut-n-paste to the
shell.

To add to what Steve Werby wrote earlier today -- there is actually a gd
library which has both GIF and PNG at the same time. It is the "old" GIF gd
with the PNG code added as a patch. Troels Arvin has it on his homepage
afair.
