RE: [cobalt-users] "no virtual host entry for site??" warnings on site update

Try using meta-verify.pl .. can be found here:
ftp.cobaltnet.com/pub/users/duncan/raq3/meta-verify.pl

Run ./meta-verify.pl -as (to verify sites)
Run ./meta-verify.pl -au (to verify users)

This will update the db with the state of the system. Let me know if you
have any questions.. we just migrated over 400 cobalts, and used this on a
bunch.. also, we started using CMU (The cobalt migration utility), but found
it broke too much, so we wrote our own and can now do a complete migration
from one raq3 -> raq3 or raq4 -> raq4 in about 15 minutes or less!  Fun
times.. heh..

Subject: [cobalt-users] "no virtual host entry for site??" warnings on
site update

At the beginning of the year I was trying to overcome some locking up
problems on my RAQ3i by moving the IP address of the first ethernet port to
the second one. However, during this the system went into a state where the
virtual sites could not be view.

I manually fixed the httpd.conf file by adding the correct <VirtualHost
xx.xx.xx.xx> line back in for each site which seemed to get stripped off. I
could now see the web sites.

I have now gone back to some of the previous sites and when I enable some
options like cgi, I get an error message when I try and save changes.

The error message is "no virtual host entry for site12" for example.

I have a site which I disabled cgi, and the site carried on working
correctly (it was running Ultimate BBS).

There is no problem with new sites which I have created. From what I have
gleaned from the list, I believe Cobalt keeps all the site information in a
PostgreSQL database.

Does anyone know what I can do to get the database to synch up with what I
have actually got. My concern is that an existing customer might want cgi
enabling, and I wont be able to do it via the control panel. True, I can do
it by manually editing httpd.conf

Regards,

Gordon.
