Wow, thanks for your post man... I especially liked the hard to read great
block of text with no whitespace.

Well did you click the link? its there, in the archives. I dont know how
well used it is, but its there.
There is very little wrong with telling somone to look in the archives,
especially if you provide them to a link with the said piece in, and
encourage them to check the archives before posting if there is a
possibility it could have been answered before.

Does it matter if its an indvidual reply to you now, or a helpful reply to
somone asking the same question two weeks ago? I for one am pretty fed up of
the 'What is port 111?' posts. Sometimes its boring to repeat yourself.
thats pretty much why the archives are there.

Very true here, i agree 100%. But its gotta be worth a look right? I mean,
how hard can it be to tap in a couple of keywords, maybe thats too much
hassle?

Ahhhh... now we get to it... Lazyness. Because somone doesn't have the time
or the effort to spend on finding the answer themselves, they ask it here? I
mean, somone will go through the archives or search around on google on
thier behalf wont they? There are people out there with plenty of time on
thier hands, unlike me, i'll just throw in a post to cobalt-users to just
ask some dumb question that could be answered in 5 mins if i got up off my
arse.

Okay so i guess i should have opened the nasty tag again, i am sorry, its
just that benign ignorance and lazyness are not qualities I admie. I know a
fair bit about what i know, which is mostly security orientated, and i'll
always try and answer any questions people have the best i can, I'll even
look up stuff for people if i dont know it, because i am out to learn and
this is a learning process right?

Sometimes things can't be found on google, or the archives or on the cobalt
website, so hell yeah, post your questions in here and someone will try and
help you out, we have a great knowledge base in here, and i agree that we
should use it, and not spend the time arguing, so lets spend some time on
basic etiquette here, follow the FAQ, stick to posting properly, ignore the
spam, and try and learn some shit :)
