It's much easier to just download the RPMs from mysql.com and upgrade the
version u have.  That way, there is no need to compile, etc....

I need to upgrade MySQL to 3.23.
I'm not very used to Linux and Apache. So hope someone may help me to do it.
I have root access and know how to use "tar" and the basic unix commands.
