You need an appropriate PTR record for your system. Ask whoever does your
DNS about it.
BTW: That isn't a subdomain:
primarydomain.com - that's your domain.
machinename.primarydomain.com is what your example does. The first bit is
your hostname (not a subdomain). It becomes a subdomain if you do something
like this:
machinename.subdomain.primarydomain.com
