I like him. Better yet, I like his philosophy. This community suffers a
great deal of damange from the loud yelling of a few mudsquirters. I've
seen several very useful, knowledgeable people leave because the Noise
level got too close to Signal... and those are the people that help the
rest of us, so we should want them to stay.

I'd be delighted to see someone step up to bat for Gordon's job. I'd
even be happy to do it. I think the list should remain unmoderated, and
that people who really are egregious violators should get a couple of
warnings. But there should be a point at which the moderator just tells
you to take your toys and go home. So it shouldn't be that much work to
manage.

Anybody highly interested in running such a list? There should be
community participation in choosing the home of such a list, and the
person who does it should be *interested* in doing so... it should not
be a burden. Furthermore, we need to check whether Cobalt will support
this change.
