Depends on which newsgroups you bring in... there are plenty. A full
feed today (according to other lists) with space for keeping binaries 3
days and all text stuff for 30 days is about 500GB. Strictly text for
10% of the total channels ought to be about 10GB, if I pull answers out
of my...

I last ran a newsserver in 1996 (laugh), so I won't presume to guess at
what it takes now. However, I'd assume that you can do text-only stuff
happily using up about 256Kbps-512Kbps of your bandwidth. Really, you
can do it with 50Kbps... you just have to choose your groups carefully.

If you start with the "internal" groups and add outside groups
gradually, you should be able to hit just the point of storage/traffic
that you want.
