Yes, gsh, you're right. However, as I've said multiple times, I'll help
anyone I can, and I'll answer questions as far as I can, and there's a
great deal of effort to which I'll go for just about anyone...

...BUT...

...there are quite a few activities in which I'll only participate with
people with whom I've acquired a sense of comfort. I consider myself a
pretty good judge of people even when I've never seen them. So you,
Thom, Brent Sims and Brent FuddPucker (same one, maybe?), Carrie, Dom,
Mike Vanecek, Jeff Lasman and Jeff Lovell, Nico Meijer (who got on this
particular list damn quick), Jens Sogaard, Dan Kriwitsky, and Zeffie
among a few others who I can't remember just now are about the only ones
who'll even figure out my real IP address, never mind anything more
involved than that.

Clearly I'm of an open mind and I love new friends... but trust and
friendship are not given they are earned. Anybody else gets near my
server, we're having Global Thermonuclear War.

This is also not a swipe at Jim (ozdns) who just chimed in; it's not my
style. The reason I'm picky, Jim, is not some "I'm-too-good-for-you"
shtick but rather that I am painfully clear on just how little I know so
far, and will fiercely protect every security measure I have in my
favor... including obscurity.

However, give me a little time to get to know you and we can talk.
(Plus, we each only need one secondary... so I'm unlikely to be yours
just by off-chance.)
