Have you telnetted into the box before?

Hmm... Not good at all. But then, you knew that already. Just thinking out
loud. ;-)
Have you done a traceroute on your own IP? You could issue a tracert command
in a DOS box or use an online tool. If it doesn't give you a hostname:
problem acknowledged.
But anyhow, I respectfully urge you not to use telnet. You could just aswell
post your IP, username & password on this list, it's *that* insecure. Use
ssh instead. A pkg is available from Cobalt and there have been numerous
posts on how to install it from source.
So, you could say in a sense: telnet doesn't work? Good for you! But that
might just be too cinical. ;-)
