Hi Mike,

As I've already seen one post <with probably more to come> in regards to
*software which allows hosting the chat*. I have already read a post
this morning about system resources getting used quite heavily. Why not
take advantage of the poor servers out there that are already getting
abused?

http://www.jpilot.com/
"an applet that allows you to connect to any IRC servers around the
world from your web pages and visit your favourite channels instantly.
This applet is signed with Thawte digital ID, and implemented with
Netscape capabilities features. Supports both IE4.0, Netscape4.0 or
above..."

You can create a channel on say DALnet <sometimes LAGnet> and make it
private or invite only or tailor it to any need you want. There are
soooooooo many options and things you can do that it's impossible for me
to cover it all in this e-mail. My point is, "Why host the CHAT when
you can have some other server host it for free, take all the abuse and
stress, and we just need an applet/gateway to the server like this
software...?"
Please feel free to ask any other questions regarding IRC....

Dave
Sorry this one isn't FREE but the free ones are horrible and the
*nominal fee* is well worth it!!! Another place to see it in action:
http://www.dalnet.com/index.php3. Welcome to the REAL WORLD of
chat......
