You can confirm it your self, type the following command
# grep BUILD /usr/sbin/named
mine gives lots of garbage but you can weed out that i'm running
/BUILD/bind-4.9.8/named4.9.8-REL@
showing release not beta's I also run a qube 2
If you are running bind 8 you also try
/usr/sbin/named -v
that should tell you if its a release, beta, etc.. works on my redhat box.
