I may be way off base, and if so, someone is sure to correct me:
I thought the secondary name server, based on the ttl of the primary,
reached out and "asked" the primary "do you have anything for me?"
Maybe I'm getting all cornfused with the microsoft explanation that one is
forced to learn when getting certified(I'm certified as a little whacko,
so I tend to forget all this technical stuff).
If the nameservers do talk to each other, it would appear that the changes
only need be made at the primary.
Hopefully one of the folks who isn't DNS stupid like me can clarify it.
