Have another gander at the aliases in question. It doesn't
sound like mailman has even entered into it yet. First guess
would be that the list is called simply testlist rather than
testlist-users and your initial alias entry (correctly) 
reflects that fact.  For example, in the current case,
"cobalt-users" would be the full base bame of this list as
configured, "-users" is not merely some programmatic affectation
of mailman itself. If that fails, post your alias entries 
here and possibly the returned mail with headers intact.
