You need to download the older 4.0.3 version of PHP4. It will work without
problems!

Yes, sure is. If you want to login directly as root, you need to add the
ttys to the /etc/securetty file. I however cannot not see, why you would
want to do this. Instead use the "su -" command, when logged in as admin.
