Look at
http://www.cobalt.com/support/kb/search.php3?ques=kernel&qid=189&language=1
If you join the Developers network you will have access to...
http://developer.cobalt.com/devnet/technotes.php
and
Guidelines for adding your modified Linux kernel to MIPS-based servers
ftp://ftp.cobaltnet.com/pub/developer/TechNotes/DTN7-0-0.pdf
I just made a few the Qube 2 and it is very easy.
Basicly install the latest kernel, headers and source from ftp.cobaltnet.com
and
cd /usr/src/linux
there is a .config already, so save it somewhere
make oldconfig or make menuconfig
make dep clean
make cobalt
cp vmlinux.gz /boot/mykern.gz
if you have a term hooked up you can press space when it boots (after rom
banner) and you should get the cobalt prompt.
to boot your kernel ...
bfd /boot/mykern.gz
well thats what the sheet says... basicly...
save the old stuff in /boot and then move the new in...
