Hi,
I have attempted to turn off my POP3 and IMAP services by modifying their
SWATCH files.
This is what the file should look like:
type = service
name = imap
port = 143
protocol = tcp
# - line below modified by Lozz on 20/03/2001
state = off
retry = 3
restart = /etc/rc.d/init.d/inet hard-restart
init = * OK
seq = 1
command1 = A001 LOGOUT
ack1 = * BYE
What I have found, is that recently (and totally without human
intervention), the "state" line is reverting to the on state.
Does anyone have any ideas what I can do about this?
Also, the Active Monitor is still flashing red about these two services, and
is continually sending me email alerts about the POP3 and IMAP services
being down.
Any help is appreciated.
Thanks,
Loryan
