A useful distinction for you here: creating a new resource (whether
forum or list) is practically free for any of us here. I would happily
subscribe to such a forum or list; I think the information is useful and
I'm glad to have it at hand.
The difference is I would simply file that list, and search it whenever
I had either lots of free time or was actively looking for equipment.
But it has nothing to do with Using Cobalts, which is the point of this
list, and I have no interest in seeing hundreds of posts on equipment
wanted/forsale on a daily basis.
Keeping it off *this* list is not the same as saying it's not useful and
beneficial content... just that it's irrelevant and unrelated to the
subject of this list. As Dan said recently, we all use HTML too but that
belongs somewhere else.

To mirror your attitude, this is what this list should be for - not a
collection of classified ads to support those who sell equipment.

Funny... I thought you just said you were here for the knowledge. Allow
me to remind you that all conversations start with a question, and
anyone that posts such things does so to help a fellow user. I expect
any idiot who can drive to know how to change a tire, but if I see
someone with a flat I still stop to see if I can help.
Filter the posts, killfile those people you don't like, don't read the
threads you're not interested in (wow... there's an original thought),
and leave the rest of the world alone.
