I'm in no way an expert in this matter, but I think....
sendmail receives and parses email messages while procmail takes them
and puts them in appropriate location for each user. Hence, if you
wanted to establish rules on forwarding, anti-spam, or customized
"distribution" of imcoming emails, you'd mess with procmail.
