Sorry for the "boss" message the other day... couldn't resist... <g>
To be sure.. I realize that *somewhere* DNS services are working to route to my machine... My NS.1 and NS.2 as registered with the world are not on my server.. Perhaps the confusion lies in the way I was originally instructed to setup virts on my box...
All the verts on my box use the farm's NS's which then routes requests to my box.. I was under the impression that I needed DNS records on my box and DNS server set to on to route them correctly within the RaQ... apparantly not so..
Not sure how the name based stuff works on the RaQ's but it must be a separate function of the DNS server as it's been working fine with it completely shut off and no records made for the verts on my box... Farm has records as I always have to get them to set up pointing to any vert I set up....
Make any sense?
