What should the user:group be for a particular site. It seems on one site we
can not ftp web content due to a permission problem. Not very familiar w/
Linux to check to see what user/group files belong to, but when I run ls -al
it lists "httpd".
Can I use to following to change the user:group:
chown user:group -R web/
If so, what should I put in for the "user" and "group"?
Last time I messed around w/ the user:group, it caused all cgi scripts to
fail so I'm hoping whatever someone recommends if it does not work, I can go
back to what is currently setup. This is why I would like to find out how to
check what user and group the current /web directory has before making any
changes.
Thanks!
