I beg to differ, good sir. I thought my answer to Carrie was
plain-spoken as a Midwestern housewife (oops... that was
plain-looking...)
Have we ever thought of an exchange or a barter system? You know, like
the Amish do... everybody builds my barn, then everybody builds your
barn, and eventually everybody has a barn that everybody built, but all
the barns got built in one weekend each.
I'll offer to figure out ipchains, for example, if someone will
recompile my mutha#%$@^$#%@!$#@%!!! sendmail so it will accept SMTP
authentication and agree to relay mail from my legitimate users. That
way, both of us learn one thing, teach it to the other (much quicker),
and both come out ahead and get stuff done more quickly.
[Warning: my sendmail is 8.11.0 running on the RedHat box, not on my
Cobalt. Mixed network here...]
Any takers? Ideas? Thoughts? Donations? Bueller?
