I have used Interliant for my co-location for the past year. I chose them
because their Data Center is located about 20 minutes from me in Atlanta and
I can have access to my cabinet 24/7. I have had absolutely zero problems
with them and their support has been excellent. Just last night at midnight
I called to see if they charged to turn one of my servers I had turned off
last week back on. The machine was back on in thirty minutes for no charge.
I am connected via OC-12 line to three top internet backbones, with a 7 day
backup system in place. Their NOC is located right next to all servers(may
be normal practice, not sure). I am not sure what their weg hosting and
dedicated prices are, but they recieve my highest recommendations. I would
be weary of using low cost hosting because in my opinion if the cost is
significantly less then there is a reason. Perhaps smaller lines or less
back-up, emergency management features. Interliant has a ton of raqs and a
website dedicated to RAQs for customer use(I think anyone can use it.
teamcobalt.interliant.com). The only qualm is that they seem to have
started charging $5 for a single new IP instead of 5 new ips, but I can live
with that if I continue to experience good customer service and connectin
times. I would be interested in hearing anyone elses thoughts about
Interliant also.
