[cobalt-users] What does Portesentry actually do?

I have Portsentry running in advanced stealth mode - I have pretty much left
it on default settings (apart from telling it not to monitor ports I use).
Does it mean that it is only detecting portscans on ports 1023 (the default)
and below? What about the higher number ports? Sorry if this seems a daft
question, I've just not quite figured out what it monitors. I get worried
that hackers have exploited ports 9999 and 60000 on my Raq so far.
