Not really (-; IMHO it won't keep anybody who really wants to get on that
list
from getting on it.

It could be integrated in the registration process, which is usually enabled
on rented
servers, too

Well, I honestly don't think, Sun could possibly interested in cutting down
on the
numbers of users. I wouldn't own a single raq if this list had not existed,
or if I didn't
have a chance to look at it before buying my first cobalt.
