Re: [cobalt-users] Cannot Access RaQ (Desmond)

Hi Desmond,

one of the bad things of Cobalt RaQ3 (I cannot tell if the others do same),
that he hangs on reboot from time to time.
Cobalt knowledgebase says, they know.

The fact is that your cobalt demands a keyboard input to proceed with fschk
(have you ever switched off a windows machine the hard way? - then you'll
see an equivalent hard disk check)

It has to be taken out of the rack, connected to a keyboard (serial) and
kicked to proceed by hand. This takes about 30 minutes (max).

Sorry for this. Mine has done this three or four times so far (6 months).

So, if you can't get a ping reply on your ip address, check for the guys who
are near to you RaQ3.

Regards,

Hendrik.
