Hello,

The answer was posted earleir tonight.  Just follow these directions and all
will be working again.  Now, just how to get this into the knowledge base.

login by telnet/ssh as admin, su to root. and do:
/usr/sbin/grpck. It will prolly find a user that is binded to a group, and
that user doesnt exist in de passwd anymore. it will find the error, and
ask you to fix it.
after that do: rm -f /etc/.pwd.lock and rm -f /etc/locks/*
after that it should be working again
