[cobalt-users] RAID 1

I just started using a Cobalt Raq 4. The software Raid 1 that is used on
this system is not clearly explained on the Cobalt site. By researching
other Raid sites, I understand that with Raid 1, all writes to one disk will
automatically be written to the second disk. These sites also say that
reads are done from both disks in a round robin, kind of like load
balancing.
Is this the case on the Cobalt Raq 4 or is the second disk just a mirror for
backup purposes. If it is just a mirror, can any tweeks be implemented to
make it function as a true Raid 1.
Thanks for any assistance.
