Either that, or if the directory was not formerly protected and is listed in
search engines, it would lead to a lot of attempts.
That wouldn't follow, I don't think. The attempts lasted for a couple
of hours and then went away. I have not had them previously or since.
I will follow the lead that Carrie suggested and contact a bunch of
the IP owners through WHOIS. I did do a WHOIS on some of them before
and have found they range from the US military (navy) to mostly
European companies.
I will let you know what happens when it happens.
