Re: [cobalt-users] Ra4r, Interbase and MYSQL

Hi Nick,

Although I have no experiences with Interbase, it shouldn't interfere with MySQL. MySQL uses its own server daemon and, it installed properly, its own user running the database server.

To watch all running processes telnet in and type "top". You'll see process IDs, affected users and daemons, and some more info on your system.

Compare the process names with the filenames belonging to your interbase directories. You'll know afterall, if it's running or not.

Regards,

Hendrik.

I have a raq4r. Am interested in instaing MYSQL on it. The discussion on
the issue has give me the knowlegde I need to install it, but I am curious
about 2 things:

1. Should I unistall Interbase from my server.
2. While the files for interbase are on the raq, how can I tell if it is
actually installed and runnning?

Thanks all.
