To all list-members: public self-defense message follows, written in
high-handed "my penis is bigger than yours" style. Totally *not*
constructive content. Pure rant, as a matter of fact. Ignore at will.
To Pat...
<flame>
Just a quick note for self-defense, since we're getting more personal.

There are certainly issues with the servers, how they were sold, etc.
There are also certainly issues with the people who bought them,
contrary to your opinion. Ignoring either is a mistake; declaring that
one doesn't exist is fantasy.

Since you ask <grin>... I have in fact spent my own money to buy and
build a hosting network of my very own with my own money and have the
risk of an owner (your phrasing). As a matter of fact, I've now done it
three times. But only in this, my third network, am I also the network
administrator.

No book; someday I'd love to do so. I have not mentioned the word
"Perfect," and this entire list is well aware of the shortcomings and
lacunae in my technical knowledge. My opinion of what someone *should*
do in no way reflects or can be reasonably used to conjecture on my
actual behavior. Furthermore, I have not "proven" anything.

Oh? And I made any comments on my own skills... when?

Sarcasm aside, Pat, bitch all you want. I make about $80,000 a year on
business and IT strategy consulting alone, and the stock I own in the
businesses I have helped to grow is worth over $600,000 at the price of
last transaction. This has contributed nicely to my $1.3M net worth at
the ripe old age of 29, no stock market bullshit included.

The list archives or Google will allow you to check on the type of
content I normally write. And every so often, I actually enjoy my
rhetoric. I suggest you instruct your mail client to filter messages I
wrote so you won't be bothered; if you need instructions I'll be glad to
help.
Have a nice day.
