[cobalt-users] [Raq3] Mailing Lists setup - Majordomo (long)

Folks:
Has anyone got experience setting up and administrating
E-mail lists on the Cobalt RaQ3? I know that Majordomo isn't as easy
to setup as the RaQ's GUI would seem to suggest. Moreover, there's
quite a bit of information missing from the GUI interface for Mailing
Lists.
I searched the Knowledge Base and skimmed the archives (over
1300 posts!), but couldn't find the information that I need, so...
Couple of questions:
1. I used the list "name" of "pdxbiker" (it's for local Harley
riders). I'm unclear if subscribers should send E-mail to the list at
"pdxbiker@xxxxxxxxxx" or to "pdxbiker@xxxxxxxxxxxxxx". Which is it?
2. The Majordomo reply message to subscribers seems to be missing
some info. Here's what I got:

X-Authentication-Warning: tesla.iweb4biz.com: mail set sender to
owner-pdxbiker@xxxxxxxxxxxxxxxx using -f

Welcome to the pdxbiker mailing list!
Please save this message for future reference. Thank you.
If you ever want to remove yourself from this mailing list,
you can send mail to <Majordomo@xxxxxxxxxxxxxxxx> with the following
command in the body of your email message:
unsubscribe pdxbiker
or from another account, besides patrick@xxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxx:
unsubscribe pdxbiker patrick@xxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxx
If you ever need to get in contact with the owner of the list,
(if you have trouble unsubscribing, or have questions about the
list itself) send email to <owner-pdxbiker@xxxxxxxxxxxxxxxx> .
This is the general rule for most mailing lists when you need
to contact a human.
#### No info available for pdxbiker.
*************************
Why does it way "No info available for pdxbiker" at the
bottom? Where can I edit this file?
3. Why doesn't the list message, above, tell people what address to
send the messages? Where can I edit this information?
4. When I try to send a message to the list, I get the following Header:
************
Resent-Date: Wed, 7 Mar 2001 00:07:20 -0800
X-Authentication-Warning: tesla.iweb4biz.com: mail set sender to
owner-pdxbiker@xxxxxxxxxxxxxxxx using -f
X-Sender: pbeart@xxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxx
X-Priority: 2 (High)
Date: Wed, 7 Mar 2001 00:07:37 -0800
To: pdxbiker@xxxxxxxxxxxx
From: Hostmaster <hostmaster@xxxxxxxxxxxx>
Subject: Hello list folks!
Sender: owner-pdxbiker@xxxxxxxxxxxxxxxx
Resent-From: pdxbiker@xxxxxxxxxxxxxxxx
Resent-Cc: recipient list not shown: ;
********************
5. Why does the "X-Authentication-Warning" header use the "-f" flag?
6. Why do the bottom two header lines seem to suggest that I sent
the message to the wrong address (and that Majordomo needed to
"Resend" the message)?
Thanks to all who took the time to read this. Special thanks,
in advance, to any respondents.
