I'm probably shooting myself in the foot here , what with the tendancy for
Cobalt to release exploding .pkg files <g>, but I just installed a mirror
script ( http://sunsite.org.uk/packages/mirror/) and I have it pulling all
the .pkg files from ftp.cobalt.com//pub/packages/raq4/eng and placing them
in the /home/packages directory on a RaQ4. Now all the pakage files show up
via the maintenance/install software screen in the admin panel.
I probably should have checked with the list before doing this, but I'm a
glutten for punishment.
So here's my question:
Aside from the obvious problems with Cobalt releasing a faulty package now
and then, what are other possible downsides to using this as a solution to
keep the RaQ updated?
Looking forward to your friendly and helpful responses :)
