Resolved the 'aliases.db out of date' issue (ran /usr/bin/newaliases - duh).
This did not correct the original issue - (loops back to me - Possible MX
problem)
Thanks!

Addendum:
I've found in my /var/log/maillog multiple entries that say 'alias database
/etc/aliases.db out of date'. We have not made any manual updates to
etc/aliases, but we do use Webmin (which has its own way of looking at
Sendmail configuration). Most important - how to resync it (specifically -
I can get around in Telnet, but I'm not a guru). Second would be - how did
this occur and how can I prevent it in the future? The only email addresses
that seem to be affected are the 'domaincg.com / domainid.com' issues
listed below.
Any help would be appreciated! I don't have much hair left...

I'm having the same problem. I tried the suggestion you made below (remove
the 'no www' A record) but to no avail.
I have two domains that are causing the issue. One is 'domainid.com', the
other is 'domaincg.com'. All email for users at 'domaincg.com' must be
routed individually to specific addresses at 'domainid.com'. The reason -
the client has been 'domainid.com' forever, so many people have their
@domainid.com addresses. They are migrating to 'domaincg.com', but for the
foreseeable future want all mail to route to their 'old' email addresses.
These are POP users on our Raq3 (we don't have many outside our office). We
had this working fine until we took a hack where TRIN00 was installed (as
well as IRC and a Rootkit). At our request, our machine was wiped last
Thursday morning. We reloaded it Thursday and Friday, and haven't been able
to make this email work since. We've tried all versions of aliasing, no
aliasing, etc, including deleting and redefining MX records, A records,
Reverse Lookup, No Reverse Lookup, but the 'cg' domain just will not respond
with ANYTHING other than 'mail loops back to me.' Help?

I'm certainly not a DNS expert, but I think you need to review the MX
records for each of these domains. Also, there might be a problem having
domain.com resolv to (aliased?) www.domain.com. Try removing this and see
if that affects anything (other than not being able to simply put in the
domain w/out the www in your favorite web browser....
