Well it helps to have the exact and full error that you're getting, and
it helps to know what steps you're taking. It gives the
Wise ones more to go on. But I'm going to hazard a guess because when I
first tried to
install mysql I kept getting an error message. I was installing as root
as such: As Root:

 rpm -Uvh
ftp://ftp.cobaltnet.net/pub/experimental/raq3/MySQL-client-3.22.32-1.i386.rpm

Wouldn't install. I was trying to install it with a space in the name at
/raq/ MySQL. Check and make sure you have no spaces; also make sure to
install in order.

My 2. Which probably isn't such a good thing with no blood for my coffee
system this early in the morning.
