RE: [cobalt-users] Help needed (BIND ?)

Hi Bela,
Sorry I can't answer your question but I do have an alternative that I use
on my RAQ2 & it works great.

The script is free and it's called truevirtual.cgi
(http://www.customprogramming.net/truevirtual/) ... you set everything in a
simple text file. It does require the wildcarding and I also had to disable
the Cobalt redirection settings for that domain in the httpd.conf file.

I would include some links to demonstrate but the sites sell something so
some (who shall remain nameless) would have a fit & cry off topic spam. If
your interested contact me off list & I'll give them to you.

Subject: [cobalt-users] Help needed (BIND ?)

G' Day,

Recently, I bought a web site redirection script since I plan to start my
own redirection service, powered by a Cobalt RaQ 3.
That script needs wildcards activated, and I managed to activate them. But
there's another requirement:

The RaQ normally redirects something.scene.as to www.scene.as , but the
script won't run until the server doesn't switch some wildcard host to the
main domain.

Means: something.scene.as MUST stay something.scene.as and must not be
changed into the host of the main domain.
I think we have to use bind in some way to resolve that problem....

Does anyone know how to turn that off ? Thanks.

Best wishes from Germany,

Bela
