mca,
I had the same problem with FrontPage forms and fixed it. I have to get to my other machine to find the fix...
I did not realize this is being a FrontPage issue. I don't use it, so I don't know. But there must be some way to change From: entry in the email header in FP, one would assume.
I will say however ..it has NOTHING to do with formmail.cgi or changing a "mail-script"
Actually it does in a sense. In principle, it is the From: that matters there, no matter if/not FP is used.
this whole thread is just one more example of why the archives SUCK ( Dan!!!)
I agree. There should be some way to contribute tips to a Cobalt archive database. Evolt.org has implemented a special tag <tip type="category, user_defined_subcategory">...</tip> in their list. When the list emails gets parsed, the tip entries are sent to a database, and then switched on by the admin and listed on their web site. I think something similar should be inplemented. I would be even willing to make a site that would take a care of this, if the format is agreed upon, since anybody that is receving messages can actually do it. That way, the looking up fixes and tips can be greatly simplified, instead of confusing and sucky archive that is in existence now.
