Re: [cobalt-users] [RaQ3]Open ports

I had the same ports open on mine. The 7937 and 7938 are related to the Legato backup server, from what I can tell. In your GUI interface, turn off the Legato backup server (if it's on). If it's not on, turn it on, THEN off. That worked for me.

Not sure WHAT 617 was, but just for fun, I did the same with the Arkeia backup server settings, and voila! (To be fair, I didn't check after turning off the Legato server, but I know that after turning BOTH backup servers on then off, all three ports appeared to be closed.)

Hope this helps!

I scan my RaQ3 for open ports and I find these:

444 - Simple Network Paging Protocol
617 - SCO Desktop Administration Sever
7937 - ???
7938 - ???

Is this any security hole ?
How I can close the unnecesary open ports ?

TIA
