Re: [cobalt-users] Real RAM memory in RaQ ?

Hi,

I've found this utility on my system which tells me exactly what kind of system my RAQ is. I've got a Raq 3 and I suppose that other versions of the RAQ have it installed.

Use the following commands:

- Telnet to your RAQ
  Login as admin
- Change to superuser: su root
- goto /usr/local/sbin: cd /usr/local/sbin
- use cobalt_gestalt and view it page by page: /cobalt_gestalt |more

You'll see how much memory you have installed and lots of other things ;)
Good luck,

Oblix

How I can discover how many real RAM I have installed in RaQ ?

I test with 'cat /proc/meminfo' but I get this:

[admin@www admin]$ cat /proc/meminfo
total: used: free: shared: buffers: cached:
Mem: 164335616 40976384 123359232 45273088 3923968 17358848
Swap: 134692864 0 134692864
MemTotal: 160484 kB
MemFree: 120468 kB
MemShared: 44212 kB
Buffers: 3832 kB
Cached: 16952 kB
SwapTotal: 131536 kB
SwapFree: 131536 kB

If total memory is 160484 kb and swap total is 131536 kb
the diference is the RAM memory (aprox. 32 MB) ???

If test with 'free' I get resemblance result.

Somebody can help me please ?

TIA
R.B.
