I haven't any experience on libsafe, but looking through google.com there's
plenty of information available, including RPMs for it on RedHat. There's an
interesting post here about how to implement it on RH6.1 and 6.2:

I don't know how well it would work on the RaQ2 MIPS system, but I *may*
have a play on our spare RaQ3.
