can you login thru the console? If so unmount the volumes and
fsck them to correct any errors on the partintions. I believe there
is a document in the knowledge base about doing that.

Subject: [cobalt-users] Raq2 Doesn't Boot
I have a Raq2 that won't boot.
The last thing the LCD displays is 'Starting Up' and it sticks there for a
long time.
I have tried attaching a serial console, and it appears that the kernel
loads, but then the system stops at 'VFS: Mounted root (ext2 filesystem)
readonly.'
I have tried booting the 'backdoor' kernel, and it does the same thing.
Do I have a $2K doorstop?
