Not too worry. isamchk is a MySQL utility for repairing ISAM
files (information regarding the keys and stuff that makes it
possible for MySQL to search the ISD file :-) isamlog is a utility
to read the isam logs which are often used when trying to rebuild a
busted table.
Now that we're all thoroughly confused...
It's the repair kit for the erector set known as MySQL.
They're both supposed to be there if MySQL is on the
machine.
