Gregg,
Try the free Agora or commerce.cgi (Agora is at
http://groups.yahoo.com/group/AgoraCart - the actual Agora site has sort of
wound down, but there's a new site being set up and a very active community
of users).
I've had Agora working on my Raq for a few months until this weekend, when
we were hacked into (BIND loophole). Our hosts re-installed everything and
I'm in the process of trying to upload what backups I have of the sites,
which isn't very pleasant as I've got a few scripts that I now need to go
through with a fine tooth comb, shopping cart included!
I'm really just learning about security now (patches, ssh, port sentry etc
etc). It wasn't emphasised that I needed to check the Cobalt page for
security updates etc and If I'd known about the patches and the various
secure tools I could use, I wouldn't be in this situation now!
But ranting aside I have a question - I WAS using WS-FTP for ftp and
Shuttleftp for telnet. Now I'm using Tera Term pro with the SSH patch for
telnet and I'm trying out IXplorer for the secure ftp side of things, but it
doesn't have the same functionality (it seems) as WS-FTP. You can't create
directories, delete files, CHMOD anything etc etc All you can seem to do is
upload and download. Can anyone suggest a secure FTP program that uses SSH
that is preferrably free, and easy to use? My hosting company couldn't
really name anything.
Thanks for any suggestions
Dan the Newbie to security
