It's the kernel part of nfs, it doesn't do anything much if you don't have
nfs enabled, no, you can't kill it, it's not a real process, it's part of
the kernel, leave it be -/

No, but you will make it very unhappy -/

If you use no nfs services you should probably disable the portmapper...
(make sure telnet to port 111 refuses connection)
